This is an excellent place for art lovers! The collections are huge, with detailed explanations to enhance your knowledge about art. There's a restaurant / caf, too - and a small shop to buy souvenirs. The museums is completely free and it's far away from touristy crowds. It looks tiny from the outside, but when you're inside you would think it's really large. There are permanent and temporary exhibitions/collections. Perfect to spend your free time alone or with friends!
I love to come here during my lunch break. There is so much to study I still haven't covered everything. It's worth having a read about the Seymour family, it's a fascinating story.
What a gem! I love nosing around this collection whenever I'm passing by. The staff/ volunteers are very passionate about the paintings, antiques and features of the rooms and offer up great facts and stories. The restaurant is also very good with excellent dishes for vegetarians and meat eaters. Looking forward to my next visit
This museum contains a very unique and special collection of art, including some very unusual items. It is not huge but it is packed with great art. There is a very nice cafe to get food and drinks in an atrium area in the middle of the building. Plan to spend at least 2 hours there to see everything.
We loved this place its like a hidden gem! The rooms are really overwhelming with how beautiful they are, there is wall art and beautiful pictures/ decorations. You can go in for free and look around. The workers were also really nice and it wasnt very packed. Also easily accessible. Definitely would visit it once. There is also some antique jewellery and a room full of swords. Extremely beautiful.
