Visited Harwood Holmes last week to gain some inspiration for a refurbishment I'm undertaking. First impressions were that the shop was only street level, however there is a very large basement, fully stocked with soft furnishings, mirrors, statement chairs, furniture and accessories. Mark and his team were extremely accommodating, guiding me through current trends and how to 'accessorise'. My purchases included statement cushions, a throw, glassware and a desk lamp. Really impressed with the customer service and product choice. I will be back! Thank you.
Purchased a mirror for 600 and due to its unexpected size, was unable to transport in car. Also was not told until I went to collect it that it needed to be transported upright. Was told by company that they would not deliver it and that I had to make my own arrangements. They supplied me with the details of one of their associates while quoting me 40-60. It turned out to be 90, 15% of the cost of the item itself. I made a complaint as I was not at all happy at having to pay extra for delivery for something with such a heavy price tag. I was told that they include delivery as part of their interior design business but not as part of the dressing business. I was also told that 'I don't want to fall out with you over this'. I said that I would purchase 3 further items totalling 500 if they were to refund the delivery charge but they could not be less interested. The assistant simply said, 'I will see what I can do.' A fortnight or so further on I am still waiting a courtesy email or phone call. Unfortunately for them, we will be needing a new kitchen before too long and I will certainly not be using or recommending this company. They have forfeited good business over an amount which wouldNot break the bank! Extremely let down and unimpressed.
