Great little pub with excellent real ale choices
We found a roaring fire, and a warm welcome on a chilly evening in this 400 year old pub with Fuller's beer. The nice thing is that the interior has not been 'messed with'. With its ancient beams and white plaster, it's simply charming.
This was a great pub until Fullers took it over. I do not understand why it's gone through so many good tenants/managers unless Fullers are not playing fair.New managers are very nice. Now do Thai tapas at lunchtime and will do evening food if ordered in advance.Hope they continue.

Great old real ale pub that has recently been refurbished and under new management. This pub needed a new lease of life and I think the new owners are on the right path . Never had a bad ale and in this cosy gem . Onwards and upwards
