Ok after reading this my daughter will not be going sounds horrific
I dont know why I went hereIf I could give this place -10 stars I would. The camp leaders for a start were all grumpy and didnt know how to deal with kids. The food was all inedible and was always under or over cooked. Most of the day the we just sat outside in a tiny, mucky yurt with a massive fire in the centre producing so much smoke that made my eyes black. The activities were all for ages 5-8 year olds (I am 12) and they were rare to play. Most of the time we were doing riddles or being shouted at! The tents had all muck in them and were all bumpy. They were overcrowded too as there were 10 people to a tent. I reckon they should have had 4 in !The last thing on my long list is dont bring food .On my camp, all my friends had brought about 10 nature valley bars each. And guess what happened at the end of the trip??? The camp leaders wouldnt give them back! I saw some of the camp leaders eating my friends chocolate !I dont know where all that money went!!!The camp in a nutshellIts more like a refugee camp!
The 2 five star reviews are from the company and one of it's employees.My wife and I will not be just forgetting about the treatment my son went through at this place.
The food was inedible, the hygine for everything was terrible, the leaders were grumpy and the activities boring.The Bushcraft company in a nutshellI don't like how the leaders LIED because my son had to leave see my due the weather but he didn't know till the last minute. In the morning him and his friends were told they had to pack up because there was a leak in one of the tents and they had to check if there were any more. They should have just told the truth
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This is a terrible place to go, these are all of my sons problems:The food: 1/10 (next to inedible)The showers: well, they dont exist The tents: 1/10 they were meant for ten but could fit about 3The leaders were grumpy and the activities were boringMost importantly, the leaders took my sons snacks, promising that he would get them back. That night my son went to the toilet at midnight and saw them eating his chocolates. When the last day finally rolled round, him and his friends were told that they should not have brought snacks so they disposed of them. They should owe us 16.10.So, in conclusion please dont go and I hope I saved you a quick buck
