The service was friendly, the breakfast was good however my coffee wasn't very hot and with our toast we were given two very, very small pieces of butter so we were unable to finish every piece. We were the first customers of the day and the member of staff was new so let's hope for better next time.

Broken toy tractors, brought our soup without spoons, kids meals come out... sausage and mash without gravy or cutlery and had to ask for it, kids ham sarnie was 4 for half a sandwich when a massive bowl of sausage and mash and eventual gravy was 1 more!? Crazy.Soup of the day was thin and watery... A farm vegetable soup should be chunky rich with fresh herbs and atleast seasoned.Plenty of animals to see and pet which was good but not worth 28 for two adults and two kids.

Shame the butchers side of the business is not helpful as it use to be. Went this morning to get burger mince they showed me ready made burgers they make onsite only to find chemicals e.g preservatives in them. I asked the women if they could mince 1kg chuck and sirloin for me, she looked at me if I was mad her reply was no you need to order 5 kilos worth.Who buys 5 kilos worth of mince for 4 people. Went to the butcher in kings hill Ware instead very helpful, accommodating and a lot cheaper for the same quality.

I discovered a new beer here, from the New River Brewery. Intrigued, I read the label only to discover that it is based in Hoddesdon, near to where I work.I pass Foxholes Farm Shop every day but never went in. One Thursday I visited Van Hague in Ware and found a farmer's market there. Foxholes were there so it spurred me to visit the Farm Shop.Located on the road between Hertford and Hertford Heath, Foxholes Farm Shop offers fresh, local produce including a meat counter. There is a tea room and a small children's play area outside. The food is limited in variety and a little expensive but is nice.On weekends and Bank Holidays the farm animals may be visited. These include sheep, goats, donkeys, llamas and in the Spring there were baby animals in the barn. A small charge is payable (about 4 per head). It is definitely worth a visit. My wife likes it, my sons love it. I like it too.As a footnote, the beer from the New River Brewery was pretty awful. Probably the worst I've ever had.

Had a lovely stop at the tea room and farm shop recently. They cakes were delicious and they had a good selection of hot and cold drinks. One of the cats even made an appearance which was lovely to see. I would definitely go again.
